Baked Ziti



Baked ziti is a classic Italian-American comfort food that's easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. It combines ziti pasta with marinara sauce and three types of cheese, baked until golden and bubbly.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 190C 375F

Follow the directions on the package to cook the ziti until it is al dente

Remove the water and set it aside

Cook the ziti and put it in a large bowl

Add the marinara sauce, half of the shredded mozzarella, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper

Put the mixture in a baking dish that has been greased

Add the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top

Put foil over it and bake for 20 minutes

Take off the foil and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the sauce bubbles

Allow it to cool a bit before serving
