Baked Eggs in Cheesy Toast



Baked Eggs in Cheesy Toast is a delicious and easy breakfast recipe that combines the goodness of eggs and melted cheddar cheese, all baked into a crispy slice of buttered toast. It's a perfect way to start your day with a warm and comforting meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh herbs optional, for garnish

Instructions:

Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C

Cut a hole in the middle of each slice of bread with a round cookie cutter or a glass

Each piece of bread should have butter on both sides

Put the bread slices on a baking sheet

Around the holes in the bread, sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese

Be careful as you crack an egg into each bread slice hole

Add salt and pepper to the eggs

Add the last bit of cheddar cheese on top of the eggs

Put the pan in a hot oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the egg whites are set

If you want, you can leave the yolks a little runny

Take them out of the oven and wait one minute for them to cool down

If you want, you can add chopped fresh herbs as a garnish

Enjoy while hot!
